About Us

Since 1928, Troop 27 has played a vital role in the Manchester community actively engaging in town events, undertaking service initiatives across the area, and instilling the principles of the Scout Law in its members.

Troop 27 operates under a Scout-led model, providing hands-on experiences that not only uphold traditional Scouting values, but also foster personal leadership, effective communication, and collaborative teamwork. Scouts are encouraged to participate in diverse activities such as sports, school clubs, and other youth programs alongside their Scouting journey to help them grow into well-rounded men.

Troop 27's activities include monthly patrol-led campouts, involvement in town parades and ceremonies, paying tribute to veterans through flag placements, mastering Scouting skills in weekly meetings, and contributing positively to the community through various service projects

Goals

Develop the Next Generation of Leaders

Through the merit badge program and Troop activities, Scouts learn a variety of skills, strengthen the attributes outlined in the Scout Law, and cultivate leadership proficiencies as they advance along the path to the highest rank in scouting: Eagle Scout.

Make a positive impact in our community

Troop 27 supports the community through food collections, conservation projects, service activities, and more. Through teamwork and collaboration with community partners, Scouts make connections that can last a lifetime.

In addition to offering the opportunity to use skills learned in other areas of scouting, many activities are simply for fun and build camaraderie and Scout spirit.
